As I observe how our intelligence is shaped by the systems and technologies we interact with every day, I keep returning to the problem of alignment. It’s not only about whether technology works as intended, but whether the systems support the kind of intelligence we want to develop. AGI and brain-computer interfaces will deepen this challenge.

Human Intelligence Design

This makes me curious about some fairly fundamental questions:

01 — Observe

How do systems shape our capacity to think?
What conditions allow intelligence to develop over time?

02 — Align

How might these systems align with us?
What should we consciously design for?

I explore these questions through the environments we inhabit — from schools and workplaces to homes, communities, and creative spaces.
